On July 4, 2019, Google published Doodle Baseball as a way to commemorate the National Independence Day of the United States of America. A humorous twist was added to the game by Google, which replaced the typical baseball players with traditional American picnic foods. This gave the game a more authentic feel.
At the same time that it was commemorating two American traditions baseball and Independence Day cookouts this inventive method made the game feel like a celebration of both holidays.
